Cleaner Airflow Starts Before the Intake

Crankcase ventilation can carry a mixture of oil vapor, moisture and contaminants back toward the intake.

The catch can gives these vapors a place to cool and separate, helping collect unwanted residue before it continues through the intake path.

BAFFLED SEPARATION

How the Catch Can Works

Hot crankcase vapor enters the can, passes through the internal baffle and filter media, then changes direction inside the chamber.

1. Vapor Enters
Oil mist and moisture travel into the inlet.
2. Baffle Separates
The internal structure helps slow and redirect the vapor.
3. Residue Collects
Separated oil and moisture settle in the lower reservoir.
4. Cleaner Vapor Exits
The remaining vapor continues through the outlet.

FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION

Two Common Installation Configurations

01 — Vented / Breather Setup For compatible applications that use an open crankcase ventilation arrangement, the supplied breather filter can be fitted to the catch can.
02 — Inline PCV Setup The catch can may also be installed inline between compatible PCV hoses as part of a closed routing configuration.

Always confirm the correct crankcase ventilation routing for your specific vehicle before installation.

IMPORTANT COLD-WEATHER MAINTENANCE

Check It More Often Below Freezing

In freezing temperatures, crankcase ventilation systems can generate increased condensation. Water collected inside the catch can may freeze and create a restriction if maintenance is neglected.

For cold-weather use: inspect and empty the catch can frequently. Weekly cleaning is recommended in freezing conditions, or reinstall the original PCV routing when appropriate for your vehicle.
